Personal- Princess Nevermore
As I read Princess Nevermore, I felt myself connecting to Princess Quinnella. Princess Quinnella had always wanted to go to Earth, regardless of the danger and risk she will end up with. Due to her curiosity and obstinacy, the word danger and risk never clicked into her brain, even when Melikar tried to warn her about it. But as she enters Earth, she realized what she had got herself into and wished she had taken Melikar’s advice. I relate to this because a lot of times my parents will try to warn me about something in ahead of times but due to my stubbornness and inquisitiveness, I ignore their advice and later come to realization when it’s too late to back out. For example, this is a situation that occurred to me just recently. I had signed up to go to two missions’ trip and had paid my deposit money for both, way ahead of time. My parents sent me to the first one without hesitation but the second trip they were not to sure because of the money. Well, due to my stubbornness and wanting to go on another mission’s trip where I haven’t been, I told myself that I’m going to go and did not handle this situation in ahead of time. Two-three weeks before the trip is to leave, I came to realization that I was being very selfish with my parents money even after all that I’ve spent this year for college apps and other things. So I decided to go talk to Student Life Ministry to back out but by the time I went and talked to them it was too late and the deposit money was non-refundable. So feeling terrible and guilty towards my parents I will end up going on another mission’s trip but I really wished I had listened to my parents earlier because how I really feel really bad and sorry, spending their money without thinking twice and for thinking only about myself.
